Photography packages & pricing in Kansas City
Every shoot we book is quoted flat and confirmed in writing before you commit — no hourly meters running, no surprise print minimums after the fact. Here's how the tiers work and what drives the price, so the quote you get makes sense.
Short, fixed-price sessions of 15–20 minutes at a set location — the budget-friendly entry point for seasonal family photos, quick headshot refreshes, and holiday cards. One location, one outfit, a curated set of edited images. Our mini session guide explains exactly what they include.
The core tier for family, senior, maternity, portrait, and boudoir work: 45–90 minutes, outfit and location changes, full posing direction, and a complete edited gallery with print rights.
Weddings, commercial projects, team headshot days, and real estate with aerials are scoped individually — coverage hours, second shooters, licensing, and deliverables spelled out line by line in the quote.
What actually drives a photography quote
Four inputs set the number, and knowing them helps you shape the budget before you ever ask for it. Time is the biggest lever — a 20-minute mini and a 90-minute two-location session are different products. Specialty matters because genres like newborn and wedding carry preparation, equipment, and risk that a quick headshot doesn't. Deliverables scale the edit: a curated 15-image mini gallery versus a full wedding archive are very different post-production commitments. Usage applies to business work, where a commercial license for ads is priced differently than personal print rights.
How to get your exact quote
Because every session is matched to a specific photographer and scope, exact pricing is confirmed when you tell us what you're booking — which takes one booking form or a call to (913) 379-2309, and obligates you to nothing. You'll get the session recommendation, the photographer match, and the flat price in writing. If it doesn't fit the budget, we'll tell you which lever to pull — shorter session, single location, tighter gallery — rather than quietly downgrading quality.
What every tier includes
- A specialist photographer matched to the genre — never a generalist filling a slot.
- Professional editing on every delivered image, with high-resolution digital delivery.
- Print rights for personal sessions; written commercial licensing for business work.
- Posing and location direction throughout the shoot.
- A confirmed, written price before anything is booked.
Questions that shape a quote in your favor
Three questions do most of the budget work. 'What's the shortest session that accomplishes this?' — sometimes the honest answer is a mini, and we'll say so. 'Is a weekday or daytime slot cheaper to book?' — often yes in practice, because demand concentrates on weekend golden hour, and flexibility is a bargaining chip you hold. 'Can the gallery be curated tighter?' — a focused set of exceptional images edits faster than an exhaustive one, and for many uses it's genuinely the better product. Asking these doesn't make you a difficult client; it makes the quote conversation efficient, and it's precisely the conversation the desk is built to have.
